Wire Edm’s

Hey people,

I was just wondering how many people out there are using Pro/NC to program wire edm machines?

Thanks

none.
EDM "module" is inactive in every pro/E seat i have ever seen.
Unsupported, inadequate, useless. It is there just to justify the
"all in one" mfg package.
Its a pity for such an exceptional cad/cam software.

I have used WEDM for several different machines with Pro/NC and it works great.

Hi all,

Thanks to everyone who replied, i have a couple other questions all well. what other wire edm programming software has everyone worked on and how did/do they compare to Pro, and also when using pro to program your wires, are we talking holes, any tapered stuff, 4 Axis, and also what kind of machine is everyone using? also do you find the support when using pro sufficient? how about post support with Pro?

Thanks

Yodes

Yodes,

It seemsmany people are using Mitsubishi for 4-axis wedm but there are many others. I can create a post processor for you to support your machine. That is what I do for a living. I can also train you in Pro/NC wedm.

Thanks,

Kent
