For the most part I do not use the hole functionality. I would sketch this hole? I do not like that pro e assmes things in the style of hole. I also don't like all the 3d notes that it adds.
If you don't like the notes, either don't use them or customise them.
I tend to use the hole feature a lot and find it very useful. I like thatthe cos. thread is embedded, I like the options you have available...but I suppose this is one of those things thatcomes down to a matter of preference.

PS If the notes are a problem in your models use layers to turn them off
