Variable Pattern?

Siron

New member
Any one know if there is a way to create a pattern with each instance
of the pattern to have a differant dimension value? I have
a round support column that has sockets that receive supporting
arms. The sockets move up the column X distance and around the
column Y degrees. Each instance is always differant in these
dimensions so every time I have to creat a new column I basicly have to
manually select each dim and make the changes. What I would like
to be able to do is possably have a relation table in a layout that I
can just input these dims and have the new column update automaticly.

Wishfull thinking? Or is it possable?

Thanks,

Chris

Depending upon the EXACT relationship between X and Y, you could use any one of

Dimension Pattern constant increments

Relational Pattern mathematically variable increments

Table Pattern any increments but also most manual

If you post a picture we may be able to help better.

I assume you are talking about patterning a part rather than an assembly
