I really need some help with the toroical bend feature as
it has been buggin me for quite a while now ..

I want to make a tire with a pattern, and for that I am
using a long rectangular plate with extrusions.

Then I am doing
Insert>advanced>toroidal bend
360>crvbendcontract>done
Then I am choosing the top surface whole part
Add>Done
Then I am choosing the plane surface that I want to bend
Okay>Default
And I enter sketch mode

Now I get into trouble, I have tried almost everything.
Pro E just keeps informing me about a missing coordinate
system, I really don

You are probably missing a"sketchcoordinate system" in your sketch in the torodial bend feature

And upload the part and I , or someone else, might could help you!!

Ok

Here is a screenshot of the "action". I am trying to place
the coordinatesystem but it wont work, no matter where I
place it, so I guess it is the sketch coordinate system I
am missing, would you explain ?

thx

I have a student version of WF4 so you can't use my files

sketch coordinatesystem is located under the sameflyout menu as sketch point (the flyout under the spline icon).

Try adding that to your sketch!

(do you know how to do the rest of the feature?)
