Text on a curved surface?

I have a requirement where in one needs to create text with a uniform thickness on a curved surface. Any suggestions?

maybe sketch your text


Offset the curved surface normal to surface or normal to sketch if the text is on the demoulding plane.

I have a somewhat difficult requirement. I want to put extruded part number on a surface that is flat then cruves. Most of what I have found on these forums does not deal with this issue. I would like the text to remain somewhat perpendicular to the surface in relation to where is is on the curved surface.

Ok so right after I posted this issue I realized I could just figure out the arc length and find the offset relationship in degrees. Then make planes perpendicular. Let me know if there would have been a better way of doing this.
