sweep not working with datum curve!!!

Hello all - I need to know if anyone else has had this problem or if there is a solution. I have created a datum curve thru 2 points. When I choose sweep and pick this curve as the trajectory, it gives me an error message "Specified trajectory is not valid". It is a straight line!!! Am I missing something? Your help on this would be greatly appreciated. Using WF4.

Get away from using the sweep feature. I would use variable section sweep. (It doesn't need to be variable!)
