I don't know how to do it with standard text. Where I have done it is in tables. I just make two small rows and space the text so one of the table lines goes through it.
Have there been any changes to allow for this since the original post came out? I'm just curious since I would like to apply strikethrough to a note on a concept drawing for an example, yet not reference. It should be easier than saying something goofy like, "Don't refer to XXX for an example, but this note is an example of what would actually be here on a real drawing."
