simple beam

hello

I ma just starting out with pro/mechanica, having done some work at uni with it.

I am designing a beam, so it should be pretty simple analysis. however the beam is a thin section with some squiggles in it. So I have started out by using pro/e to do a beam calc, by calculating the cross section proerties, then using this to calculate the stress at the load by an analysis. I am confident of the result in proe. It is a simple calc straight of textbook, although i havent done them for a while.

I then put the beam into pro/mechanica, and attempt to do an analysis on it.

Beacuse i havent done this before, i did the same with a simple square beam. However, i dont get the same results for the calcualtion that i do in proe with the one i do in mechanica. I am sure that the constraints i use are correct, a pin connection so it is free to rotate in one axis, and the load is a point load.

Wha am i missing?

Cheers
