Hi, yes we all went through this. All you can do is use the search or the advanced search to find your parts and set the preferences to only show latest revision/version in the search window by default. I understand that the ability to hide old versions in the folders is back in Windchill 9. I am installing 9 onto a test server as we speak but cannot confirm this yet. It appears that they have put back all or most of the good things from Intralink 3.x into version 9

I only can say that I stop using windchill 8.
Simply it to not work. I will try again with Windchill 9

The setting to avoid seeing multiple versions in the search results for wc8 is:


/com/ptc/windchill/enterprise/search/latestVersionDefaultSea rch


Apply this setting at the site level to apply for all users

Its so simple is Windchill 9.0. Just go to advanced search and add search criteria to Revision equals to latest and do your search.
