"Send to PDM" best practices

Anyone out there have any tips and tricks or best practices that you can share when you perform a "Send to PDM" from ProjectLink to PDMLink?

For example with a top level assembly and drawing with sub-assemblies and parts and drawings, do you start at the top and try to do it all at once? Or start with the parts and the part drawings and move up the assembly?

Other hints? In other words, what has worked best for you?

I am not sure in PDMLink as I havnt worked yet. But as per Pro/Intralink, Its always prefered to first check in all the parts, library instances and then subassemblies and then final assembly so that there should not be conflict or whatever. Hope its same in PDMLink.

If I am wrong please let me know the correct way.
