Selecting multiple parts in an Assembly, Is a Selection box possible

I am working on a new circuit board but the layout is not complete, when the emn is opened there are many parts not placed, off the board. I would like to select them but all I can find is the control select and pick each one. I would like to pick all of them at once.

I tried to use the search tool and select them with no success.

I was thinking there was a config setting to allow this.

Hold shift and click on the part to group select. All the parts in the model tree will get selected till the part you want to select.
