Hi.

I can create asemblides using parts from any directory using the search.pro file technique - works great! Problem is, while in the assembly, and if you make changes to a part (activating and then editing) and when you save that assembly, it will save the assembly AND the part that you modified to the working directory. How do you get the modified part to save back to the directory it was pulled from?

Im just using ProE wildfire as a single user at home.

when you save your assembly the parts will saved to, but only in the directories where they where loaded from. When you deny the writing rights you

Check the setting of the override_store_back config option. When this is set to no, files will be stored were they came from. If set toyes, they will be stored in the working directory. If you have Interlink active, this may not apply.

One more thing, if you use File - Backup, all components will be copied to the working directory, even if they have not been changed.
