Save assembly as

Hi,


When trying to save a copy of an assembly. I get an 'x' against


some of the components. So you cannot save it. Sometimes you can rename the


component. Other times you cannot with a message saying


New name action cannot be performed because of incompatible status of theirhigher level assemblies or/and lower level components


Does anybody have a solution for this?

Rename your assembly in session and save. Be careful if you have a related drawing or if it is a generic with family table instances.

I'm getting the same error message. I can change all the part name when there is just one instance of it in the assembly, but if there are more than one, it says "new name action can not be performed for model(s): "part name" (multiple occurences) because of incompatible status of their higher level assemblies or/and lower level components.

anyone know how to change the name of a part with multiple occurrences, while still using the save assembly as technique?
