Save As Error

Trying to do a "save as" of a start model in Windchill PDMLink 8.0 M040.
The start model contains 115 parts and we are receiving the following error.
"A nested transaction cannot be started. The transaction has been rolled back"
We perform a "save as" of our start models literally dozens of times a day but this is the first start model to have more than 100 parts. If we reduce the part count below 100 the "save as" works fine.

Any thoughts?

Doug,

I have run across the nested transaction error before too. Not in this particular use case though.

The behavior that I saw was that Windchill had to do two operations to process your command. For example, it is processing the Save As, but maybe one of the models needs to be set to released first. Or the lifecycle is different on one model and it has to reset it before it can do the Save As.

I have to admit that I am guessing on the specifics, but in my experience if you find out what operation Windchill is nesting inside your Save As command, and correct that, then it should work.
