Replicating a complex surface

Hi guys,

I'm new to solidworks and need help.
I'm trying to generate a surface on a model that I've imported in.
The surface of the model that I'm trying to replicate is rather complex, with multiple
curvatures of different degrees, running in different directions.
What I've been attempting so far is to fit a spline along the perimeter of the part that I want, and then using the fill-surface tool.
However, this causes the surface generated to have multiple peaks that protrude everywhere.
I've been trying to control this by using vertices under the constraint curves panel.
I'm approaching this rather blindly though, I have no idea how the algorithm works or anything.

HELP!

Thanks guys =)
PS: I can't show pictures due to copyright issues

Archeolus,

Unfortunately, there are no one-step solutions for complex surfaces. Only after some years of experience will you be able to create anything using the tools available in SW. I'm afraid there's not much we can do to help you without seeing the geometry.

Send me a PM if you are interested in getting help. I can sign an NDA.

Good Luck!
