Ratchet Teeth

Hi All,


This one is proving difficult, hope someone here can help.


I am trying to design a ratchet wheel where the teeth are on the outside flat face of the wheel. The teeth need to be triangular in shape but the outside edge of the teeth will be bigger (larger circumference) than the inside edge.. The wheel is 40mm dia with a undercut 4mm deep 30mm dia. The teeth will sit in this undercut with the start being on a dia of 24mm and the end finishing at the wall of the undercut, 30 teeth in all.


Any help will be greatly appreciated

I will work on this on Monday, rather than sloping in can the teeth edges be a uniform height say half of the undercut as per my pic above.
