Projecting Text on a Suface

When projecting .igestext on a suface any best practices:


Should the text be imported- insert > shared data > from file - then sketch using edge?


or


Should the text be added right to a sketch - Sketch >data from file(you obtain dimensions)

It is one big f*cking work around.There should be some enhancement in this area.I use a detail drawing as part of the process.Export from Illustrator.... import into Drawing mode.... export again as IGES..... import into Pro/E with respect to a separate CSO so you can move around. If you want to increase in size you have to do that in the detail drawing and re-export and start from there again.
 
Thanks for confirming the process. That is how we do it here at Hunter, and we were hoping there was a more streamlined process....


Maybe we can convince PTC to create that enhancement.
