i have many proe files (prt, asm and otherjs) that i cannot open. i am running proe wildfire 2 so im assuming they used a newer version to create the models and drawings. where can i finda viewer (preferably free) so i can atleast see what is on these models and drawings. or how can i find out what version of proe created them so i can hopefully get them converted or something.

You can find the version by opening the file in wordpad and then do a search for "pro". This will tell you the version.

eDrawings will open pro/e files and it is free. I have the full version, but I think the 2011 free version may open pro/e files also.

I think you can download Product View Lite from the ptc website for free.
