ProE installation and MAC addresses

I bought Pro-E 2001software 4 years ago (no service contract)and installed it on a Dell Inspiron 8500. The video card has cratered and I may have to replace the whole motherboard. If Dell repair depot installs a new motherboard and leaves the hard drive,will the MAC address change and will Pro-E then not load?

More than likely, since the NIC interface is built into the motherboard. Even without a service contract, contact PTC and see if they will issue you a new license file. I think they will allow you to do this since you have valid license.Their refusal to issue a new license could allow you to sue PTC for lose of income, etc.
