ProE automatically modifies my contraints

Hi,
I have a sketch that when I drew it was nicely put
together with strong constrains and strong dimensions.

When I try to edit the sketch using redefine however,
some of the constraints get lost, and others get put in
their place - the result does not follow my design
intent.

Can anyone tell me how to disable this behavior.

I can repair the sketch, and even use different
constraints to achieve a similar result; but if I edit it
again the constraints still get automatically messed up.

Using re-define at different zoom levels gives different
results, but nothing that I can control.

Thanks,
Tim

Hey Tim,

I've had similar problems recently with that happening. What version of ProE are you using. I'm on WF4. I was wondering if it's a bug!!??

I think it occurs if I, at any time during the sketch, drag a point or line to alter the sketch after I have constrained it. Some dimensions after re-constraining them will change on their own and some will change to be ref dimensions....weird

. If I don't drag lines or points things appear to be ok. I have never experienced this before in earlier versions of WF.

For your dimensions you can highlight all and lock them. I do not think there is anything you can do for the constraints though.

after assigning constraints to line or point, dont drag, as
it will change the constraints. As Krow72 said after
finishing giving dimensions lock them up.... this may
work..
