Hi everyone!
I'm working on an automation program for a 3D model and a corresponding drawing and I faced some difficulties
the program modifies model template file with given parameters, updates the model, saves the file with different name and in the next step it opens drawing template file( which is an assembly containing model template as an component) and substitutes the component with the newly created part.
the problem is that GRIP program substitutes the component like this:
1.it deletes the old component from the assy
2.it add new part as an component with the same constraints.
It causes all dimensions from the template drawing to vanish of course
Is there any way to make GRIP substitute the component the way you do it manually?
Meaning open component as...?
