Pro-E under LAN and WAN speed issues

We have a Pro-E server with multiple licenses working under a PLM environment in TEAMCENTER. Whether there will be difference in speed while accessing the networks in other countries of my company LAN through team centre if the LAN speed is 100 Mbps and 1 Gbps. Which is better ?. If I presume 1Gbps is the best option, what are the requirements in terms of cable and router ? . Can someone discuss on this topic to throw more light ?

If you are accessing the other sites via an internet connection, either speed would work fine. You will never get these speeds via the WAN.

Via the Lan, you will also not really notice a difference unless you are actually transfering data files. Accessing the licenses you won't notice any difference.

It is also a matter of connection between routers and
servers. Lets say you have 1Gbps to all lines on one
router, but the server are on another router that only
have 10Mbps....
Find the weak point!
