Hi all,

PROE 2001 (build code 2004290) crashes under many circumstances like refreshing the window, executing map keys, switching windows, while saving..

I have done a preliminary survery of the hard ware setup(source of this checklist is anotherthread, thanks to that guy)and here it is below;

Have you configured your graphics driver for Pro/E.

yes, an update
Have you ONLY one Pro/E <loadpoint>\bin variable in your User (and system) path environmental variables.
Yes , only one load point
Have you tried running vanilla Pro/E (No config.pro config.sup config.win menu_def.pro etc.) to isolate potential problems in these files
NO
Have you tried win32_gdi instead of OpenGL
NO

Is your paging file(s) bigger than your RAM
yes, 3 GB vs 1 GB

The amchine does not throw our any .err file but some error lines in .proi.log as below;

X Error of failed request: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)

Major opcode of failed request: 15 (X_QueryTree)

Resource id in failed request: 0x4c08056

Serial number of failed request: 251726
