Poor man’s file thumbnail creator

There is probably an easier way to do this (with or without Intralink, etc.), but attached is an Excel file that can be used to create thumbnails of all or a handful of parts and assemblies in a folder. This was created to allow for easy browsing of part/assembly thumbnails in Windows Explorer where they can all be viewed at once.


The file is kind of rough but does the trick. I've used it to create 500 jpegs at a time of files in our Pro/E folder. We don't have Intralink.

I believe that the site backend may just be down for maintenance, but here is a new link to the file. It's been a few years, but I just pulled out the file and tried it with Excel 2003 and Wildfire 5.0 and it worked great.
