No cache designated vault

When we try to check in Documents or CAD parts into PDMLink 9.1 Commonspace, we rceive the error, "There is no Cache designated vault or active folder for Cache designated vault on Local Master Site.".

Can anyone help me understand what PDMLink is looking for?

Thanks in advance,

It's looking for the content cache vault. Go to the external storage administrator as the site admin and setup a content cache vault.

We haven't had this error since we started using Windchill over a year ago, is there a chance that it was deleted?

We do have the vault, but for some reason it is toggling to read only on it's own? is there a reason this would happen?

Maybe the file system is full? Do you have automatic folder creation turned on? What does the Method Server log say?

You should not be using the defaultcachefolder for the file repository. You should have an external file vault and folders for storing the files. If you don't have an external file repository, then your files are being stored in Oracle BLOBs, which is slower than external files. You may be out of disk space, which will cause your vault to become read-only and nothing will save.
