Anyone know how to "rip" a solid object and seperate each of the sides?
Rather than ripping the sides to prepare for bends, I need to go ahead and
make 6 individual pieces for the box.
use split, draw a sketch on the top of the box representing the cut/rip lines, then use mold split.Name each part, click on the split feature in the tree and create an assembly of the parts.
If you're describing a 'box' and this 'box' has no fillets on its corners AND you'd like this 'box' to control all newly created sides, then I'd use the split body function. Take a look at the tutorial on split bodies in the 'Molded Body Design - Advanced'. It uses a mouse as a base part and shows you how to split apart the bodies and save them as seperate files but they all link back the original solid mouse.
