Loft (URGENT)

Hi I'm sorry for sort of double posting. Not really sure which forum this belongs to, and my time is running out.
I'm modeling a part for my bachelor thesis and I am
trying to use the loft function, but can't make work as i
want it to. If you see the edge on the picture, it's sharp
and with it looks weird. I would like a smoother
transition or in other words, I would like the thickness to
be equal all over.

The profile I'm using is the face of the two half circles.I have also tried to the face of the part that is sticking out but that didn't work out either. I have attached the file below so it's easier to see what i have done.

Picture of the part:

The solidworks file (I used SolidWorks 2011)

not much of a response. Is it too late to talk
over the phone? 312.226.8339 We are about six hours off from GMT. I
can walk you thru it over the phone.

I teach a mean solidworks surfacing class BTW

We cover that basic loft geometry in the Level 1 class though.

Hi
Unfortunately not. Is it possible to talk over skype? my phone is a bit unstable. I'm +10 hours so I'm available from 4pm (your local time)

Kris,

I don't think the loft is the best feature to use in that case. I think it would be best to use a series of boundary blends. Are you familiar with this technique?

No I'm not familiar with that technique. Is it difficult or can you explain it?
