intralink demote promote

Hi, I hope someone out there can help me with this-------We have a release scheme set up with 3 levels--CREATE----OUT-FOR-CHANGE----RELEASED. Users can promote in Commonspace but in order to demote, they must check out to WS, modify release level in workspace and then check back into CS.----QUESTION is "how can we disable checkin of RELEASE level files?"

In Roles, un-check the "Set Release Level"


You may need to create a "Role" and assign it to "RELEASED" level.

What version of Intralink?


When I managed Intralink 3.3 files, we had a trigger installed that would prevent a released from being checked in. I got it from Fishbowl Solutions at www.protoolkit.com.

I used the "view only" role in the folder authorization for "released" level files.
