can anyone please tell me how to remove a feature from a group without ungrouping.

I have used the group in Family table, I do not want to ungroup which lead to deletion of its column in family table.

thanks in advance

If you're using WF2 (don't remember if WF allows) and the feature
has no dependants in the Group, you can simply drag the feature below
the Group in the Model Tree. If the Group is the last feature in the
tree you will have to create a temporary feature below it, drag feat
out of group, then delete temp feat.

You should be able to drag it, but if there are parents or children in the group you will be limited. With a parent in the group, you'll only be able to drag after the group, with a child in the group you'll have to drag it before. If there is a parent and a child in the group, you're out of luck.

Dragging can be tricky. Watch the length of the line in the tree as you drag. It needs to go all the way across to the left. Easier if you drag it out after another feature.
