Flush Licences Automatically

ARC-Pro

New member
Hi All,

I used to work for a company who flushed all the Pro/E licences every 15 minutes then you only got a licence next time you selected a command on the screen.

It got around people starting up Pro/E in the morning and holding on to a licence all day when they were not actually using it. They also counted how many times each user took a fresh licence and used that information to allocate new workstations.

I can find the config command to "suppress_lost_licence" so assume it iswasn't code written specifically for my old company.

Could anyone advise how to to do this or where to get further info about doing it ?

Any help appreciated

Allan

I think you can just set up the ptcflush.bat command to
run on the license server. Put it in the scheduler to
run every 15 minutes. Otherwise you could write a simple
batch command on your system that launches dos and runs
the ptcflush.bat command on the server.

I forget how the command works, Im not sure if you can
just run in on your client system or you have to run it
on the license server system or can run it through a map
drive that is pointing to the license server.

FYI ptcflush.bat is located in both the ProE install bin
directory as well as the Flexlm bin directory
