Filling gap between two sweep protrusions

Hi, first time here. Many thanks if you are able to help.

Using pro engineer I have created a 's' (on its side)
wrapped round a circular tube. However attempting to make
one of the 'upper side' smaller than the other has meant
it has a very Sharpe trajectory and has left a gap in
between the two of the sweep protrusions.

Using the boundary blend tool covers up the unsightly
gap. However it is only aesthetic the gap still remains
behind. Is there a way to fill in this gap quickly So I
might be able use mechanica on it?

Thank you once more.

You might be able to use the surface/replace commands to remove the gap, assuming this is a solid part.

Try to get better controll of your ends on the sweep.

Or , why cant it all be in one sweep?

or, do a cut in the ends so that you gets a bigger gap, then do a Boundaryblend between the sweeps and solidify.

or, wrap a curve on you cylinder and sweep on that curve instead.

or, use VSS (using a relation to controll the"vaweiness") to do a sweep like this.

or...

It declares my specific trajectory is invalid.

How do I go about doing this?

Many thanks for your assistance.

I am wondering if the "Merge ends" option on the 2nd sweep would get rid of the gap. Its worth a try.

Another option - along the lines of tobbo's 2nd suggestion -

create a bigger gap and then create a General Blend (Insert - Blend). Choose "Select Sections" and pick the end sections of the two sweeps. Also set tangencies to adjacent geometry at start section and end section to make it smooth.

Your curve can be invalid since its not tangent....maybe? Are you doing your sweep with "VSS" or "Sweep"? In Vss you can set an option to make the sweep constant, that will work on non tangent trajectories.
