Exclude holes in mill volume

tobin

New member
<?:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" />I have created a mill volume (using WF3) and need to exclude several holes. I know I can do it if I create individual cuts for each of them, but there is also a "fill" option in gather volume. There is a tutorial for it in the help center (which looks like exactly what I want), but I can't get it to work. Can anyone explainsome simple steps?</v:shape>

hi tobin, when you select volume at the seq setup select close loops and when asked pick the hole edges this should help

or you can use mill volume by window and use exclude surfaces function

or you can use in parameter tree corner_round_radius. example:you have a in your mold holes with diameter 10mm and you are using cutter with diameter 8. to limit his path tell him to do a c_r_r of 3mm, so the holes are out of reach for him!

or modify the reference part and fill the holes with material!
