error writing to workspace file H:\\

I am trying to do some renaming, moving, deleting actions in intralink but whenever i try to execute, i get the following error





an error occurred while writing to the workspace file H:\\proi\local.ddb





we don't have a pro/e admin and it sucks. They are slowing phasing pro/e out of our company and i am one of 3 users left and the most knowledgeable....so i'm my own pro/e admin i guess....lol





any help would be delighted

how large is the local.ddb file? If it's over 2gb, it will cause you issues...

Unfortunately, there's not much I think you can do.


I would only do what was absolutely necessary and only do one thing at a time.

thanks, i finally figured it out....my dbb file was overloaded.....lol, big mess but i resovled it.

Compress your local.ddb after every start-up using PTCs batch file ldbcompact.bat - you find it in the directory <Pro/I install dir>\bin.

yeah my system was supposed to be doing that at startup but the BT person that installed it on my new computer didn't have it reading the right drive/directory to do that....i'm all fixed up now.
