I need to create a new part similar to an existing one that was modeled
by someone else. I need to make an extremely minor change which is to
change the angle of the sketching plane for one of the features (F8).
My problem is that I cannot figure out how to edit the definition of the
Sketch Plane because it only appears in the sketch. There is no
reference to it at all in the model tree that I can find, not even if I
expand the feature it belongs to. If I look in the Sketch Setup it says
the sketch plane is DTM4:F8(DATUM PLANE) so it looks like the sketch is
using a datum plane embedded in the feature, but why doesn't it show up
in the model tree when I expand F8? Is this due to a setting
somewhere? How do I edit the definition of this plane? The part is
large and complex so I deleted everything except the relevant feature
and attached it to this post. Feature F8 is the protrusion named
CYLINDER in the attached model. I'm using Wildfire 4
