ECAD board outline export

I need some help with when exporting a IDF 3.0 board outline file from Pro-E to the ECAD side of the house. In this case we have a PWB that has a flex portion on the board that lies between two rigid sections of the board. The two rigid portions are the same thickness and the flex portion is thinner (.125 thk verses .060 thk). My question is, can you export the entire outline, including the flex outline, even though the flex does not lie on the same plane as the top side or the bottom side of the rigid (main) portion of the PWB outline? I have tried this with other CAD software and had problems because all portions of the board do not share the same top and bottom surfaces (same thickness). Maybe there is a work-around for this (flex is a seperate part)??

In order for the outline to export properly it all needs to be the same thickness so you have to change your model temporarily to perform the export. There are some threads on mcadcentral on this topic. Try the search facility. This is one discussion that is relevant:
