Datum Curve from Surface edge?

How do you create a datum curve from the edge of a 3D surface?

yes but the edge of the surface must be selected in a special way. Bright red.

I can copy one part, but if I select the tangent chain the copy function is grayed out. Is there a way around this or do i have to copy each segment individually?

as you select the edges you must hold down the shift button to get a chain. If you hold control it is seen as selecting different sets of things.


Try selecting using the one-by-one selection method.
