Cross hatching an assembly x section

I am trying to modify the hatching within the different parts of a pulley assembly drawing using the RMB pop up menu properties after pre-selecting the cross hatch. As I pick the bushing area and select add a line, go through the angle setting, spacing, and offset, then the line style setting and click apply. Nothing happens and I end up with a blank area denoting the bushing.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

What you are saying is correct. Unless you made the offset or spacing too large and the hatch is beyond the part. Go back to the xhatch menu and go to next line until you reach the new one and"half" the spacing until you see the hatch.
