Creo Elements Direct

I am probably late in finding this out, but I recently checked out some videos of Creo elements / Direct aka CoCreate. (If anyone doesnt know what this is, search for it on youtube).

It is some pretty impressive stuff. History-less modeling, instant feature editing, slick interface, easy manipulation of imported files from other CAD systems, etc, etc. I was wondering if this is the future of 3D modeling and if parametric modeling will be extinct in a few years? What are the limitations or drawbacks of direct modeling, if any?

i prefer explicit modeling for editing imported parts (preparing for CAE) and making quick changes to prismatic parts others have modeled. it's not going to replace parametric history based systems in my opinion as they have many advantages that we all benefit from.
