Creating a PCF...?

I'm trying to create a PCF file to overide the MS Printer Manager. My problem is that it's been awhile since I've done this.

1. In the destination block do you select "Add Printer Type" OR do you select from the drop down list? What if your printer is not in the "Add Printer Type" list?

2. What is the printer command you must place here?

These are the printers I'm trying to connect to:

- HP Color Inkjet Printer cp1700
- HP Laser Jet 1320 tn

I don't know what a PCF file is, but if you mean PDFI use a "printer" called PDF 995. It is a PDF file creator that you download from the inernet. It installs itself and it is avalable when printing from Pro-e just like a printer. I hope this helps.

To create custom printers, I usually find the closest match on the "Add Printer Type" list... save the settings (ptc\proe\text\plot_config\???.pcf) then edit the file in a text editor.

It's often a case of hit+ miss with plotters from Pro/E.
