Creating 2D drawings from stp files

I am trying to create 2D drawings forprt files that I have created by importing stp files into pro/e 2001. As soon as I try to create a 2D drawing in this way, I encounter an error as shown in the snapshot. I get thisno matter what the geometry is.Can anyone tell me how I could create 2D drawings from imported CAD geometry?

One guess is that there are no views in the model side, so your template doesn't know how to handle it.


try no template <blank>and insert aview

another option is to inserted shared data into a start part, I think step on there...iges is
