Create center line between 2 lines

Hi all,

This is my very first time of using Pro Engineer 5.0, and
I did search a lot before posting a question in here.
I've been using Solidworks and Inventor for 2 years up
till now and I'm pretty sure my level is above average.
But now I have to use Pro Engineer due to new customer.

Actually, I got some training and can do some part
modeling with few fundamental features (extrude, cut,
hole, etc...).

Right now, I got stuck with how to create a center line
right in a middle between 2 reference lines.

The first idea that came up in my mind is using offset
command, I can measure the distance between 2 lines and
draw a line in the middle, but then I have to convert
that line into reference (because Pro E won't accept
incomplete sketch).

Excuse for my English, but please give me some idea for
how and what command should I do.

Thanks all

Create a point on each of the reference lines, then create your centreline and use the " symetric" constrain to put the centreline in the middle. (think opposite from what your used to

Dear ajack
Frankly, I did not understand completely where is the
problem.
Anyhow I will answer in the light of my understood. You can
define those two lines as references, then create
construction line between those lines. When finished create
the desired centerline at the midpoint of the construction
line.
Hope that helps, if not please ask again.

Everything is "model-centric". (so say the PTC trainers I had on WF2)
Go to the model, put in a couple of points and/or some construction geometry that will hold to center between the symmetric geometry when changes are made. use the two points to place an axis. Go to the drawing, change the view to show the model tree on the left hand side. Rt click the axis you added>show in view>select the view. Grab the handles and make it the length you desire. I remember somewhere reading that it is possible to show a CL in the drawing in a sketch but I am running WF4. You will also find yourself drawing cosmetic sketches to work out other issues with Pro. The drawing will (most of the time) never fall apart on a regen if you put the geometry in the model.
