Changing the units of a new part

We have just been allowed to do all our modelling in metric, rather than imperial...

Although I can change the units to "millimetre newton second" manually on each part, it is annoying. How do I change the units so any new part/assembly is called up in metric automatically? I'm using Wildfire 2.

I had a look in the config, but I couldn't see anything...

Thanks guys.

you are right about the config. Make sure you set the right path to your startpart template (and for your path to the .asm template and so on...)

You can set the default units in the config with pro_unit_length & pro_unit_mass for new parts that DO NOT use a template. Template parts will over ride the config.pro settings. Most companies have a library of template parts & assemblies for various types of parts.
