BOM rpt.index in Notes

Hi Guys,


I have an assemblyBOM table that lists the parts as Items1,2,3 etc...using rpt.index


Now I want to referto the item numbers in the notesi.e.: ASSEMBLE ITEM 3 TO ITEM 4.... etc


Is there a way to referencethe BOMsItem number (rpt.index) into notes, so they will update automatically rather than manuallychanging the notes.

Hello,


I logged a call with PTC on this item. The responseI got was it is not possible at this time, it is however listed as a requested update. I was told the more requests that come for an item the more likely it will added in the future.

In you BOM you should have also a part_number listed so rather then using the index you could use the part_number which you can add parametric to a note. And if you have the BOM sorted using the part_number then it will be easy to find the item.
