BobCAD-CAM or Mastercam ?

Looking for a CAD-Cam package to do 2 and 3 axis machining using drawings import from both AutoCad and ProE.


Anyone give me some advice as to whats best . Have been looking at BobCAD-CAM and Mastercam.

Well that depends on what industry your in. We manufacture flanges and ring gear for example, so we use matercam. (mastercam is more of a job shop cam software). We havea sister company in the UK that uses Edgecam, but they manufacture BIG crankshafts! Another sister company in Italy has been exp with dellcam (a UK product) and says it is the best out there for crankshafts. Dellcam is what we will use next year when the installation of the biggest hammer press in the world is complete at our facility!!!!
