Blank component in drawing view

Hi,
I use WF3 and have an assembly drawing with 4 different
views. In each view i would like to blank different
components. I though the best way would be to make 4
different simplified reps in assembly mode and then to
assign a different rep to each view in the drawing.
Unfortunately I cannot seem to do this. If I add a rep to
one view, Pro e wants to update the other views also.
Is there any way around this?

I also tried the blanking components using the
"componeent display" option in drawing mode. This works
but I have one major issue.
The parts I want to blank in "View A" ( a plan view)
would be much easier to select in "View B" Is their any
way to do this? It would make life a lot easier.

Thanks in advance.

After you have projected a view from the parent view, you can change it to a general view. Then you can change the simplified rep indepenently of the parent.

General views by default won't be aligned but you can add the alignment back. However, if you change the orientation of the original parent, the other views won't be projections anymore.

To make life easier with "Component Display":

Select view, RMB, "Use Model In Tree"

View > Drawing Display > Component Display: Blank (or Unblank, or Style...)

Select component from Model Tree
