assm. to drw

I'll create an assembly and then a drw. I'll delete a part in the assembly and remove it from the dir. then I replace it with a different part. When I try to open the drw again it asks for the original part. How do I get round this?

that depends on how different the parts are, if they're close create a family table and replace in the drawing. of course, you have to reverse the deletion

SKYBLUE,

In the drawing you also have to remove any references to the part you want to delete. The most probable reference is that there is a drawing model still active or inactive. (RMB Page Setup >- Drawing Models >- Del Model)
