ASSIGNING WEIGHT TO ASM REP

Hello All,

I was wondering if anybody could help me with the following:

If I have an assembly representationmodelled as a part is their anyway off assigning the weight in kg to this part model if I know how much it weighs, obviously I can't do the usual mass props calc. Thanks in advance

If it's a part and you know how much it weighs, you can assign a density to it, setup/mass_prop/density.

I never tried this but should work, density=mass/volume. So you can calculate the volume, you know the mass and you get the density, which you will assign to the part. If this is not going to work just put a density and with a few tries you should get it to show the correct mass.

Cheers,

I figured it out in the mean time you need to change tab in mass prop to ' geom & parameters' then you can simply input the overall weight.
