Aligned - non planar section

New member
I have an aligned non planar section view that I am attempting to put a
diameter dimension on. Pro/E is not allowing me to do this.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to create this dimension? As
the section is "aligned" this should be a legal dimension. I am
using created vs. shown dimensions due to how the part was constructed.

Thanks in advance.

When using aligned view one edge on the view should be on the drawing plane and you must show whole section (also the other side of the diameter). Then create dimension by picking edge planar to the drawing plane and then move the mouse over the other side of the diameter (where it should be, NOT where the aligned view is showing it) and query pick the edge with RMB. The only help with finding the other "hidden" edge of the diameteryou have, are other shown dimensions which show you, where edges of the aligned diameter sides are. You can then "guess", where your "other diameter side" is.
