I can see in the near future the application of existing Heads-up
display technology to project the image of an object to a user wearing
a special headset. Stereoscopic vision adjustment gives accurate depth
perception, and some sensors and calibration allows the system to use
present shading/raytracing technology to enhance the effect that the 3D
model is actually in the room. A special glove with light markers on it
(so it can be tracked in 3D) can allow you to manipulate the model.
People working on the same model can collaborate in 3-D space.
I think they should borrow ideas from the gaming industry. Imagine a 3D
environment like a game of Counterstrike, except instead of killing
each other you are working collaboratively on a design. Maybe they can
still have a bazooka in case of disagreements.
The bad part is there would probably be no keyboard keys to design, which
means less proe would be used, which means less proe training (bad for me),
which means less plastic, which means less china, which means nothing to
recycle, which means a lot of mofos will be out of work, Which means we all
should of been optical engineers. What is that 20 more credits over
ME?
Ergo is Dead.
I am really surprised that projected keyboards are not more prominent.
There are several on the market. <a href="http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/projector-keyboard/index.html" target="_blank" target="_blank">
http://www.io2technology.com/ Looks like they are not hiring. that
don't look to good. even if you are not hiring you should look like
you are for proper PR.
Cool I guess. Can I play a game or go to the internet?
