WF4 When?

Well, the product calendar says it was released Jan 21 but you can not order or download it yet. What's up with that?

Reseller was here yesterday and told us the release date is the date the CD ROM's go out. It will be available for download in roughly a week.

Do you have to be on Platinum maintenance or something to get the mailing? I don't recall ever getting a new release automatically.

Hmmm, you must have some sort of special licensing, I can't get it. My download page shows Pre-production C010 only.

Not that I'm aware of. What special license would allow me to download the new release a week early? Seriously, I'm looking at the page right now and there's F000 available for everybody to download. Surely someone else is able to do it...HELLO?

I put in a call to PTC. From what I could understand from the tech support guy (heavy Indian accent, very hard to understand), my account needs to be 'upgraded'. I couldn't communicate with him well enough to ask what that meant. I'm supposed to get a call about it from another department later.

I had the same trouble. When I went to the download page all that would show was the Pre-release. For me to get it offered on the download page, I had to open a call # 6060158. Withen 1 hour it is now offered on my download page. I explained to the support person, this call was for why do I need to call support to get it added, but all he did was turn a deaf ear and just upgraded the database.

To me, the real issue is why must I log a call.

I opened a call yesterday. This morning I could still not see it. I added acomment to the call on line asking if the people who could see it were paying more maintenace than we were. Within an hour I could see the F000 code. My call had also changed to resolved. Clearly they know what it takes to enable this. I guess the squeaky wheel gets the oil.
